Walk Iiyama’s Temple Town in the Soft Light of Early Summer
Spend a gentle early-summer morning exploring Iiyama’s historic temple district with a local guide. This 120-minute walking tour begins at Iiyama Station, continues with a zazen meditation experience at Shojuan Hermitage, and leads through the quiet streets and temple scenery of Teramachi before ending with sweets and a drink at Café Hana Akari.

Course:
- 10:00 Depart from Iiyama Station Tourist Information Center
- 10:40 Zazen meditation at Shojuan Hermitage
- 11:35 Visit Shonenji Temple and walk along the traditional gangi-covered street
- 12:00 Tour ends in front of the Takahashi Mayumi Doll Museum
- From 12:00 Enjoy a mini soft-serve dessert and drink at Café Hana Akari

¥1,500 per person, tax included
An additional admission fee is required to enter the Takahashi Mayumi Doll Museum.

- Advance reservation is required by 10:00 on the day before the tour.
- All travel during the tour is on foot.
- The zazen experience is open to beginners. Chair seating is also available.
- There is no cancellation fee, but please contact the organizers by 10:00 on the day before if you need to cancel.
- The route may change depending on weather or other conditions.
- Guests arriving by car may use the open-air or multi-story parking areas at Iiyama Station’s Madarao Exit.
