Iiyama City invites you to the first session of its 2026 Human Rights and Corporate Human Rights Education Lecture Series. This year’s theme is “Nurturing Human Rights Awareness in Every Individual.”

Session 1 focuses on Buraku discrimination — its history, present-day challenges, and the ongoing efforts toward resolution and social advancement. Speaker Shigeru Yamazaki of the Buraku Liberation League brings deep expertise and lived experience to this important topic.
