Iiyama to the Fullest! Tanbo & Gravel Touring 2026
June 7, 2026 (Sun). A 70km gravel cycling tour through Iiyama’s iconic rice paddies and countryside. ¥6,500 per person (tax incl.). Meet at Michi-no-Eki “Hana-no-Eki Chikumagawa” Visitor Center.
Picture this: cycling through mirror-like rice paddies, with the serene Iiyama countryside stretching out before you. This guided gravel ride takes you on a 70km loop through Iiyama, Nakano, and Kijimadaira — with 700m of elevation gain and gravel sections that make every pedal stroke feel like an adventure. Along the way, three aid stations serve up local treats straight from the hands of the community. This is cycling in Japan at its most authentic.

Before You Sign Up
- You should be able to comfortably ride approx. 70km including gravel sections on a sports bicycle.
- Participants must be 18 or older. Minors must be accompanied by a guardian.
- Compatible bikes: road, MTB, e-bike, or cross bike. Wheels 26″ or larger; tires 32C or wider recommended. DH bars and TT bars not permitted.
- Cancellations within 3 days of the event are subject to a 100% cancellation fee.
- Registration closes once capacity is reached.
