Nestled in the misty mountains of Iiyama City, the sacred village of Kosuge has stood for over 1,300 years. Once a year, this ancient place comes alive with the Kosugemaruichi Ancient Market — a unique gathering where tradition meets sustainability, and taiko drums echo through cedar-lined pathways.

Event Details

- Venue: Kosuge Shrine / Kodo Park, Kosuge-Mizuho, Iiyama City, Nagano
- Access: 10 minutes by car from Nozawa Onsen
- Admission: Free (some workshops may have a separate fee)
- Cancellation: Cancelled in case of rain (announced the day before on Instagram)
Vendors & Workshop Hosts Wanted!
We are looking for vendors, artisans, and eco-friendly workshop hosts to join us. Handmade goods, local produce, sustainable workshops — all welcome. Eco-themed workshops especially encouraged!
- Booth fee: ¥1,000 per booth (one booth)
- Requirement: Post about the event on Instagram (mandatory)
- Setup time: Gates open at 9:00am
