Plant a Tree, Nurture the Forest — A Day at Hope Lake

The “Iiyama Madarao Highland Tree Planting Festival 2026” takes place at Hope Lake (Kiboko) in Iiyama City’s Madarao Highland. Participants will plant broadleaf trees among the larch forest, contributing to the region’s biodiversity. In the morning, everyone takes part in hands-on planting work with tools provided. In the afternoon, explore the lakeside woodland on a guided nature walk led by a local expert. A meaningful and refreshing day in the Nagano mountains — free to join.
