New Orleans jazz comes to snow country
BLACK BOTTOM BRASS BAND, one of Japan’s top New Orleans–style jazz bands, is coming to the Iiyama Cultural Exchange Center Natura (飯山市文化交流館なちゅら).
The band first made waves with their street performances and has kept evolving since their major-label debut through collaborations with a wide range of artists. Expect trumpet, trombone and sousaphone in full swing over a driving street beat. It is the kind of show that gets the whole hall moving.
Before the concert, you can join a workshop and play “When the Saints Go Marching In” with the band. Grab your instrument and come join in!
