Spend Mountain Day Surrounded by Music and Peaks
August 11 is Mountain Day, a national holiday in Japan. To mark it, Iiyama City hosts a live music festival built around a simple idea: to lift up Iiyama and all of Northern Shinano through the power of music.
The stage is the Main Hall of Iiyama Cultural Exchange Hall Nachura. Headlining is Fabrhyme, an instrumental trio formed in 2015 — dramatic arrangements, warm melodic writing, and an energetic live sound they describe as “pop music without vocals.” Three guest musicians on vocal, flute and drums join them to fill the hall.
Take in the summer mountains, then step into a cool concert hall for the afternoon. It’s a fine way to spend a holiday in Iiyama.

An instrumental band formed in 2015. With dramatic arrangements, pop and melodic original songs, and energetic performances, they champion vocal-less pop music, appearing mainly at events and live houses in the Tokyo area.
